Welcome to Azadi Adornments: a journey of artistry, heritage, and unbound expression, founded in 2019.
Deeply rooted in my Iranian lineage, Azadi- meaning freedom- is more than a name; it is a bridge between body and expression. Each piece is a tribute to the sacred, the bold, and the unconventional, honouring my Middle Eastern roots and passion for alternative self-expression. Whilst paying homage to centuries of culture and history, I find a way to blend old and new to design pieces I want to wear.
Jewellery is a way to carry history, culture, and spirit with you- and that's what every Azadi piece intends to do.Beneath the layers of cultural richness, Azadi is an intimate reflection of my story- one shaped by resilience, migration, and the pursuit of belonging. As the only child of political refugees, I carry the weight of history and the light of possibility, forging a path from East to West. Freedom is not just a motif; it is the pulse of my journey, the force that carried my family to Australia, and the fire that fuels my creative vision. In the early days, I worked closely with a handful of small craftsman families in Bali, personally overseeing every piece of production and development.
Today, Azadi partners with dedicated, high-end manufacturing teams across multiple continents, each specialising in a specific trade or metalwork technique- a reflection of how far the brand has come while maintaining its commitment to craftsmanship. Every piece is ethically made in accordance with Fairtrade standards, by small teams of master metalsmiths. Rooted in the ancient traditions of tribal jewellery, my designs weave together heritage and elegance, embracing boldness beyond the confines of minimalism.
Jewellery carries energy, and if you have found yourself here, it means my work has spoken to a part of you that longs for freedom, for authenticity, for the beauty of self-expression. Azadi is a celebration of that essence- of embracing who you are, unapologetically and with purpose.
For me, Azadi has never been just jewellery. It's about freedom, self-expression, and carrying a sense of identity that resonates far beyond adornment. In a time when Iranians are risking everything for freedom and dignity, that message feels more urgent than ever.If it doesn't come from love, it's not worth it.Thank you for supporting Azadi Adornments, a small independent label where every piece tells a story, honours a legacy, and carries the spirit of freedom.
