Azadi Adornments is the creation story of a young woman from an ethnic Iranian background, navigating through the displacement of being the first of her family line to traverse the western world from birth. Being the only child of political refugees, Azadi- freedom, was a constant theme of salvation throughout her life and she would revere about it in the many forms that it can take for a person- freedom to express, freedom to create, freedom of identity. The drive for freedom is what led her family there, and it is from this place that she would start to create.
